P219A and P0172 Engine Codes
Hi All,
I just bought a 2013 honda fit with 117k kms. The engine light is on and showing codes P219A "Manufacturer control" and P0172 "System Too Rich Bank 1". I've been doing research on the two codes separately and it looks like some of the causes could be bad O2 sensor, purge valve stuck open, fuel injectors, exhaust leak, bad pcv, weak fuel pump/pressure, etc.
I just wanted to check if anyone else has had these two codes at the same time and what they did to fix it before I spend over $200 on a new O2 sensor. I was thinking it could be the injectors, which would also be around $200 to replace.

Too rich is rarely, if ever caused by O2 sensor. In fact the reality of it saying it's too rich means it should be reading properly. Check voltage, should be 1-9mV. B1S1 will be a bit up and down, S2 should be far more stable. S1 is our main concern.
Following proper alive/activity status on the S1 O2 sensor, flow test fuel injectors. If high mileage motor and after injectors are tested, check compression. Report back when finished. Cheers
