I just got a new 2nd gen fit, manual with 155k miles on it. It has a distinct vibration / rattle I only feel in the pedal/floor.. ) when accelerating from lower rpms, car seems to hesitate on the throttle almost like a wheel hop. Its only on driver side. The noise is fairly loud and kind of sounds like an exhaust noise. Noise goes away at highway speeds and also stops when let off throttle/cruising. I can also rev in neutral with no noise whatsoever.
i was led to believe that this is the trans/motor mounts, but before I drop a small fortune on those could this be anything else??
I’m thinking it could be inner cv axle joint. There is a bunch of black grease on the bottom of my trans, could that be axle grease?
