*crickets*Really thought there would be several good posts with good information on this... noticed even with my stock car and nothing done to it, I'm going through corners I often have to brace myself a bit to stay planted firmly, and I don't like that so I'm looking for a decent but affordable seat.
Are you saying that you have aftermarket seats installed? If you do, it would be helpful if you posted your own How-to.
If you're saying that you have aftermarket seats but don't know how to install them, that's a bummer. You probably should have done that research before buying aftermarket seats. Not all aftermarket seats will be compatible with every vehicle.
If you're asking who has aftermarket seats and to share which seats they have as well as how they installed them, you'd probably get more responses if you made that more clear in the title.

The last one, I'm asking anyone who has aftermarket seats in their Fit, to post up what they got and how they went about installing them, how satisfied they are with them etc.
The Fit is pretty unfriendly to seat-swaps because you're sitting on top of the gas tank, meaning the floor shape/height relative to the seat is pretty non-typical relative to other small cars.
Unless an aftermarket seat was specifically designed to fit the Fit, you're going to have to do some fabrication of new mounting brackets.

Luckily for me, I'm a TIG welder in a sheet metal fabrication shop! I guess then I'll just have to pull out the drivers side and make some sketches up... maybe build it in CAD just cause if it's not to difficult. I can do decent in CAD, but quickly and decent I am not your guy LOL. Reason being if I do that and make a print of the parts, I might can get some flat stock cut out on the laser at work to make the brackets out of. Looks like maybe the best value in a "good" quality FIA certified seat is the Sparco Sprint... not sure how comfortable they are though. I wish there were brick and mortar stores where one could go sit in the seats to see which they want, at least in like capital cities or something.
Posted on a FB Fit group, someone did reply with this, which I thought might be helpful to share here, so I am given what was said about the brackets needing to be unusual due to the floor being unusual because of the fuel tank location.
I don't supose their is cross compatibility between GK and GE seats or more specifically their mounting brackets is there?
There is a guy here who put Civic SI seats in his Fit. I remember the post being quite complete, with pictures of the brackets he welded and how he did for the airbags and all. Find that thread and you'll have some cool info.
I'd love a drop-in solution for new seats for my GE. Not really good with mods. Has anyone had the OEM seats re-upholstered? Will the front passenger seat switch to the driver's seat? Just wondering.
