Hi, I just bought a 2012 Honda Fit Sport. Great shape. 60,000 miles. I'm excited to be part of the forum!
My question/situation:
I noticed that the front part of the back wheel well on the passenger and driver side had a bit of rust forming and doesn't have liners for that area. Debris gets stuck in there and maybe the previous owners never cleaned it out and rust has started to form. The body shop at the Honda dealer where I bought it is going to fix the rust for me. But I want to try to protect that area in some way going forward.
My research is telling me that Honda didn't make liners for this particular part of the wheel well for some reason. Is there any thing I can do to line this part of the car? Any non OEM parts people suggest? The dealer had mentioned mud flaps (part 08P00-TK6-100) but those also seem to be discontinued.
What do Fit owners do about this?
Thanks for the help!

What to do? Keep the area clean in the future, especially if you pay to get it fixed. You can always spray the area (+ entire underbody) with something like Fluid Film, although dirt and small rocks/debris will stick to it and it won't look great.
I'm not sure what sort of liner you could (easily) put there that would solve the problem. Moisture, dirt, and salt will still get into the (enclosed) cavity you create, except that once covered it will be much harder to clean.
