All the reviews I've read so far indicate that cargo space in the '09 Fit has increased to 57.3 cuft. up from 41.9 cuft. in the '08 Fit. How is this large increase possible if the 2nd gen car length increased only by 4 inches, is the same height, and is not much wider than the 1st gen?

 

I think they included the space when the passenger seat is folded back for long mode.

 

I see. That's not a fair apples to apples comparison!
