I know that 1st gen's weren't, and looking at the brochure I didn't see anything on it, but there isa slight green/grey tint on the windows. Is this just the glass? Or is it tinted windows?

 

i haven't seen one in person but it does state tinted glass
in the specs

i doubt you will find many if any with factory tinted glass. i've seen in some of honda's pictures of the first gen they had the back windows tinted. when you go to buy one they won't be tinted.

this is something that annoys me. chevy can sell the HHRs with factory tint, or the Chrysler PT Cruiser and not the Fit.

 

08 Fit does have tinted glass, like the 09. They are not dark at all so it's almost invisible. I heard that the tint is for UV only, not to cut down on heat or provide privacy. If you want better tinting you must apply after-market films.

 

yeah, all car manufacturers tint their glass just slightly. it's probably somewhat more than 70% VLT though

Maybe I am mistaking cars...my parents have a 97 CRV and an 07 Fit. I remember at least one of them to not have any tint whatsoever. If you roll a window down halfway for example, and look at the sidewalk there would be no difference in color/darkness whatsoever. So maybe it's the CRV that doesn't have it.

Glad my 09 has something. Even if it's not supposed to reduce interior heat, that small degree of tint should reduce heat a little.
