got a silver 2009 sport manual. $18.6k and change out the door.
no re-fresh mode
2 cup holders remain hidden.
stiff ride, good for twisties.
over all...not bad on an out of blue visit to the dealership.

Congrats on the new ride! I've been debating between an AT & MT, and at the moment I'm leaning towards MT. What's your take?
I too was surpised to learn only recently that the steering-wheel-mounted radio controls are only available with the nav option. Sometimes I don't understand Honda's logic (or lack thereof). Not sure what the incremental cost to include radio controls in all fits would be. Also, not sure why VSA is bundled with a non-essential option like NAV.
As a side note, do you know what the dealer charged you for the extended warranty. I've been debating this as well, especially given Honda's quality/reliability reputation. A friend of mine referred me to a couple dealers who sell extended warranties online for $100 above cost -- apparently, Honda's been trying to shut them down, but so far they're still operational.
Happy Driving!!

Honda's motives

I got my extended warranty from Bernardi for $100 over cost but since Bernardi has stopped it. There are online dealers still doing it but they stated they're under persecution from Honda so you have limited time if you want a discounted warranty. Honda apparently wants it's dealers to get the full markup on the extended warranties. The prices I was quoted at area dealers had near $1000 markup built in. That might double the profit on a fit right there. Good luck on your purchase! There's both good and bad associated with the world of Honda. It's mostly good I think. Making VSA a top of the line option is another puzzling Honda packaging mystery.

It's hard to figure out why Honda bundles it's options as it does. On the 08s I was irritated that you had to get the sport for WMA/MP3 playback capability. How little did that cost?

I have a quick question regarding your extended warranty. What terms did you buy (e.g., duration, mileage)? Since you purchased an extended warranty I'm assuming that you're going to keep your Fit for a while. Half the Honda owners I speak to don't believe an extended warranty to be necessary, while the other half disagree. I plan on keeping my new Fit for at least 5 years, so do you think an extended warranty is the way to go?
Thanks!

seats are a lot more beefy. when it reclines all the way back, there's about 3-4 inches of front seat (excluding headrest) resting on the rear bench seat.
