Any 2009s around DC??
Sorry to make a post just for this...
I have been trying to locate a 2009 Fit around the DC metro area, and have not had any luck thus far. I've been watching a lot of the 2009 threads here, seeing who posts, and where they are from.
Seems like there are lots of 2009s (relatively) in CA and TX, and the rest of the country just has a few here and there... oh well...

Well I currently own a 2008 GTI and I wanted to test drive the fit because it seems like a nice little car and it would lower my monthly payments. I felt like down sizing my life and since I only drive 4500 miles a year (i ride a scooter to work and to run errands) why do I need such a nice car sitting in the drive way.
The car was great for what it is. The interior fit and finish is really top notch and is better than many other cars above the class. The radio was decent, nothing ear shattering, but it was clear and competant. The seats dont compare to my gti, but I found the seating position comfortable and sufficient for long drives.
The engine was a little loud compared to what I am use to, but it seemed smooth and that's what really matters. Coming from a vw gti, saying the engine is smooth is a great compliment. I was suprised by the power given the specs. I never drove the last gen, but the new engine with vtech has great power through out the rev range.
I found the tranny suprisingly good and it held the revs and shifted quickly in sport mode. My GTI has dsg, so its hard to comparee, but for a traditional slushbox, I think its a great tranny.
Handeling was good, but I would prefer a bit less roll. I can imagine how good this thing would be if it had some thicker sway bars and stiffer spring rates. The steering was awesome. Its a very quick ratio and I really enjoy the zippy nature of the car.

They had a $2000 markup on the Fit I drove so I would say yes. I asked the sales man how much it was and he quoted me MSRP and then said it had a market adjustment of 2k. I laughed at him and said no really, how much is it? He looked ashamed of himself. I was happy seeing that.
