The Civic was introduced in the early 70s.

It's not impossible. I'm sure any of the vendors here can get the folding mirrors w/ signals. If not, the guys at japanparts.com should be able to...for a premium.

All models that have the turn indicator in them over here have the folding motor built into them.... the only other option is for the mirrors to be heated.

Wow I'm trying to point out the RS heritage and all I see is replies on folding mirrors.

Looks like the Civic RS has a red H badge, too. Hanzo, are you aware of what the RS trim consisted of for the Civic?

Yes, this would be interesting, although a bit off-topic (of course, more on-topic than so far). I had a similar vintage Civic that I modded the daylights out of to keep up with my muscle car buddies. I loved that car. Would be interesting to know what changes the RS had.

I have no idea. I don't even know what RS stands for. But found it interesting that the RS name has been around for quite some time.

Typically, RS would stand for Rally Sport, but in this case, the Japanese Jazz RS, it would stand for "Road Sailing".

Cool The start of the red H

Here is a link that describes the differences of a Civic RS. It had 30% stiffer springs and was rolling on 13s! It had 70hp as opposed to the standard Civic's 50.

So it does make sense, the new RS vs regular is the same way, more power, bigger alloy wheels, sway bar in the rear. Not sure if the suspension is any different.

Road Sailing is no where nearly as cool as Rally Sport.
