How to open all doors with one click

Now that I've got all the door to open on my Fit Sport AT when shifting to Park, do you have any tricks to open all the door with just one click of the remote rather than 2?
(My wife just called me lazy for asking the question!)
thanks

As far as I know, you have to click the remote 2 x to open all the doors. It's like this on any car, not just the Fit. The first click opens just the driver's door; the second opens all the other doors. If you are by yourself and don't want any of the other doors to unlock, you just push once. (For example, I am a woman alone in a parking lot and don't want someone hopping into my car as I get in.)

Some cars do have this ability. When I had my Focus SVT I went to a meet and a fellow Focus driver took my remote and held down one of the buttons for a few seconds. Then all of my doors opened with one click! I'm not sure which button (or maybe it was a sequence of buttons). Has anyone done this with a Honda? I still have his number but I don't know if it will work on a Honda.

Agree with TFB. VW and Audi both have programmable remote unlock modes. However, you need a laptop, cable and software (VAG-COM) to play with the settings. Or you can the dealer to do it.

Has anyone asked a Honda dealer if it can be programmed to one click? I have a hunch it can be done.

Stolen from some other post on this forum....

1.) turn ignition 2 clicks (the position before starting the car)
2.) hold down the unlock button (on the power door lock panel)
3.) after a few seconds, you will hear click noise, keep on holding
4.) after a few more seconds, you will hear a second set of click noise..
5.) let go and pull out the key immediately...
6.) Voila!

Hope this helps!

teh way the fit doors unlock is a safety feature. one click if you want to jump in the car and take off. two clicks if you want to open all the doors.

a friend of mine was robbed and shot because a guy jumped in the passenger side of his car when he unlocked the doors on his integra.

That was from another thread and it works.
Not planning on going to the US, so not planning on any one jumping onto the driver side other than my wife.

No one plans on having a stranger jump into the passenger side...but it does happen, I'll bet even in Ontario.
