I cannot BELIEVE how many Times I've heard that lately.

Frankly it surprises me how many people HAVEN'T heard of the subcompact car of the year?

People ask me what I bought and they are just confused!

I'm in awe.. Are you folks running into this alot as well?

Now that I think about it... I haven't even SEEN a commercial yet.

Maybe thats because if they DID run one, they wouldn't be able to handle the rush!

 

yeah ive had a few people say that, i just got a 09 fit last week.
i do remember seeing ads for them on tv when they first first came out, they were sick ads too haha

 

i have an 08, since nov 07, and EVERY time i have told someone what car i had,
only ONE time did they know what that was.

and now they will be so confused bc my car is "new" and theres a "NEWER" one out already lol

yea, a lot of people either don't know what it is or think its the most hideous thing on the planet, very few people (that i know) actually like the fit. It makes me glad that a lot of people (specifically younger people) don't like it, therefore it is less likely that my car will get broken into (when I own a fit, although my 4dr civic is kept pretty stock with faded paint and steelies, I HATE THIEVES!!!)

They are running 2009 Fit commercials during NFL games. I saw 2 different ones today.

 

I think Fit is just the weirdest name ever for a car, which is why people get confused when you say it. "what's that" "honda fit" "HYUNDAI WHAT???" lol

 

I don't see why they would need to advertise them. They're selling every one they can get.

 

A quick glance at the cars in my neighborhood suggests that most have SUVs or pickups and full size sedans. The only exceptions are one civic hybrid and one matrix. I can't wait for my orange Fit to arive so I can show it off. So funny because I was never a car person and never bother to show off anything, but I can't help wanting to show off my Fit. I am sure all those walking their dog will say something about it. Although I also like to baby it and keep it in my garage as much as possible, at least in the beginning I'd like to park it outside for a few days to generate some buzz. It's going to be the cutest car on the block. I am so proud of it! Hmm, while I am at it, maybe it's time to get some outragious political stickers for it too! - just hope that my ultra-conservative neighbors won't try to break my new Fit's windows when they see the stickers.

 

i'm young and i love my fit!! but ya a lot of ppl say my cars a chick car for some reason..

 

i think people get confused because this is america, land of the free and brave and the biggest freakin suv you can find. it probably doesnt help that the word fit is an adjective rather than a noun. just say its special edition jdm honda and that should shut them up.

LMFAOO that's what a cop said to me when he pulled me over for my exhaust. The only difference was that he asked me if i imported it from mexico! lollz.

He also wrote honda CIVIC on the ticket rather then the fit even after i told him it was a fit!

Yeah, I think if they get the car wrong, you might be able to argue out of it. I haven't seen a commercial, but I think my neighbor has. He said, is that the one with the commercial? Yeah, real descriptive... thanks.

Ive seen the new commercial for the new fit and its really retarded. Its shows the fit speeding off away from attacking robot mosquitoes. Dont really get it since the cars not even fast, since when i floored it all it does is make a loud sound with no speed to back it haha But yeah the car is pretty cool, gets good gas milage, and somewhat reminds me of a mini odessey.
