I put in a BAD BOY™ AIR HORN

http://www.harborfreight.com/bad-boy...orn-94117.html
This is a major improvement. I did not know it has a separate horn for when you lock the doors. This is very nice it does not sound the air horn when you lock the doors. This horn is loud but that is how a horn should be.
(You need to install a relay with this horn)
It pulls much more power than the stock horn and circuit was designed for.

It has it own sound.

This link will play the sound BE CAREFUL very LOUD!!!
http://www.autobarn.com/images/miva/...ounds/419a.wav

details
small only 2-1/2" W x 4-1/2" L x 4-1/2" H

"2x louder than factory horns
This "bad boy" gets everybody's attention. Dual tone air horn is twice as loud as your factory horn.
  • Easy installation, uses existing factory wiring
  • All-in-one design, no separate compressor or hoses
  • 118 dB, 530/680 Hz
  • Compact unit works with any car, truck, motorcycle or boat with a 12V system "
Not for everybody I am sure.

Oh man I love loud horns.... was it easy to install?

When I had my Ranger I got passed by another lowrider.... he had one of those or a train horn (not sure ... we were going 70+). Crazy stuff.

Is it a deep tone?

I really wanna get a loud deep trucker horn on my Fit, but still keep the original for use when needed.

Not sure how the Bad Boy sounds, but the one I pictured is not as deep as a Trucker's horn. You would need a bigger Horn and a larger compressor for those. The smaller one is actually louder because you don't need as much air to power it.

Thanks. I gotta check that sound clip later.

It's good to use when people blindly cut in front of me, or are oblivious to their surroundings. Its a good wake up call.

Wink I've used these...

I have used the compact horns from this company, on motorcycles, they worked very well.

One bolt then move the + wire from the original horn and I had to add a wire to a bolt for ground. The horn I replaced was right by the hood latch. It did not take that long to do.

I strongly suggest you disconnect that horn asap and install a relay before using it again. It pulls much more juice than the stock horn and circuit was designed for. With enough use it can fry your stock wiring and horn switch. It should have come with a relay in the package.
