'07 Accord V6 To '09 Fit?
I am just over 6', and have plenty of headroom in the '09 Fit. The dealer lent me an '07 Accord Coupe while I was having some accessories installed today, and I immediately felt cramped by the headroom. It did have a sunroof, but even lowering the seat all the way only allowed about 1" of headroom. The rear-view mirror was in my line of vision, too.
One place I think the Fit stands out is that the rear seat has room for real people (adults). No, not three of them, but plenty of room for two, without having to bend their necks to avoid hitting the headliner.

Just wanted to report back - finally got a chance to get by the dealership and take a look at the '09 Fit... feels way bigger than it should, and I sat in the back seat even, after I had adjusted the front seat for myself somewhat. Magic seats are awesome - tall mode surprised me with the way the back door opens, you could load a large screen LCD TV (still in its box) into the Fit I think.
They only had a base Fit for a test drive so I drove it - I can certainly tell its a 4 underhood, but it wasn't bad at all... plenty of go for commuting, engine is of course somewhat buzzy (well compared to a silky smooth J30 V6 but that's not a fair comparison). It did feel a tad tippy in corners... but the base has really slim tires, so I'm guessing the Sport will be more buttoned down. But even the base didn't feel like a cheap budget car at all. Love the gauges and fuel economy meter.
Bottom line is in 2 weeks or so I should be picking up an '09 Fit Sport in Blackberry Pearl... which I have no idea how the color looks since I haven't even seen the 1st gen in that color before. Its one of those colors I can tell you just need to see in person though.

Appreciate all the replies - I know a test drive and checking the car out in person will make a difference but I know that a test drive can never truly relate to real world day-to-day experience with a car either. Thus its great having the perspective of people who have driven cars in different categories that can compare it to the Fit.

Auto - would love a manual but I want this to be a daily runner and last a long time. The clutch plate will go someday on a manual. The hope is to one day have a 2nd car for fun... right now that's a 2nd insurance/etc that I don't need.
I did drive the car like I owned it somewhat - just didn't have much confidence flogging it in the corners, I pushed it enough to know the base with those higher profile slimmer tires and one of the stabilizer bars missing is not a car you really want to toss around curves. And this wasn't a test drive special - it was likely going to be sold to someone soon so I was nice!
