Question 09 AT shifts funny in 3rd gear??

Hello...new to the forum, just bought an 09 Blackberry Sport AT. I love it btw, but...

When driving in D, it shifts to 2nd just fine, but then shifts again to 3rd around 1,800 - 2,100 rpms. This is really underpowered, so then it downshifts back to 2nd (I think) and the rpm's go up.

Is this normal? I don't really care for that, but didn't know if I needed to call the dealer.

Thanks for the help
~Matt

I found ours did the same thing. I suppose its for better economy but the shift to third seems too early to me. One more reason to have a 5 speed so you can decide the gear yourself!!

Or you can drive it everywhere in S mode with the paddle shifters.

I think it's normal. I've experienced this as well. Doesn't bother me too much.
