i like using the floor and center vents when i'm driving.

i find that if i'm at the 2nd speed setting the center(medium) vents don't provide much air, but if i crank it to the 3rd speed setting the noise of the fan is too loud.

i can change this by just directing the air to the center vents and not hitting the floors but i don't want to do this.

i want both center and floor vents to get air.

any suggestions on dampening the noise or do i live with this.

Kidding aside, yeah, I noticed this trait immediately when I bought the car. I'm always flipping between fan settings 1 and 2 and the noise difference is too high. There are only 4 setting for the fan speed and this may be a reason for the stupid design.

You'll get used to it, so yes, you can live with it. There are much bigger problems in life.

 

one thing you can do is close off the left and right vents by the
windows (round ones). this should help a little. you said you only wanted
center and floor right? so no side vents=some help
