Really..??? I would think that the 215 would be a perfect match for a 7.5 width wheel....... . .Hmm I`m going to be running a 205/35/18 on a 7.5.... . .. I must be asking for trouble

Lost 10 mpg is hard to believe. 5-6 mpg I can believe, plus lost a ton of power..

Anything over 16s looks/is way to big on a Fit.

We're talking about the GE8 though. Have you seen the stock wheels on the GE8 in person? 16s looks way too small. 17s would look too big on a GD3 IMO.

i sell wheels for a living and if he can fit the 225/40/18 under there, then more power to him. It does not even look awkward. 215/35/18 is such a small profile, and for me, it would be the same 225/40/18 or backing to a 17". Now that is unless i'm running 19's on a RWD car and having a staggered fit on the rear, but thats a different situation.

With all that said, i'm interested to hear if those tires scrub the fenders at all under large bumps or with people/heavy cargo in the rear.

I have 17x7 205/40/17 on my GD3 and they still look a bit lost in the wheel arch, 17s are fine on a GD3. (pictured left)
after reading this thread i will more than likely go 18s on my GE8 when it arrives, i do get a slight bit of scraping in my GD3 with the 17s but thats when im fully loaded with heavy kit bout 400+ kgs when hitting the odd bump in the road

So whats everyones final answer?! 225s' or 215s' on 18 in wheels? I need to know before I purchase wheels and tires. How about a scale wheels and tires 17" and 18". All the different possible sizes that will still fit a fit properly, please?

i have 225's on my 18x7.5's on the accord and they square up really nice, but its a meaty tire.

for the Fit's id go with a 215/35/18.
