For some reason, the chrome lamps really stick out on a the TW, so I'm thinking about picking up some base lamps. Thoughts? Here it is on Tidewater Blue.

 

I am in the same boat as you. I want some for the TW I will be receiving next week.

 

The base headlights would look good on some colors but not all....

 

I think it would look good on lighter colors. To tell you the truth the pictures above have been the only pictures I haven't liked of the Base headlights. No offense but I really don't like Tidewater.

I doubt it, but can we fit JDM/EDM headlights on our USDM Fits?

 

I too like the black headlights. I think I'm just going to disassemble my headlights, and paint them gloss black, and delete the reflector on the side if I can. I have a Crystal Black Pearl fit, so I think Gloss Black will look really nice with the Black paint of the car. I did this operation on my WRX a long time ago. It was a hairy operation, but came out fine, and never had any leaking issues after a good silicon sealant was applied to the seals. I just have to hope that the Fit headlights are constructed in a similar fashion, though, the wrx headlights were round, while these are triangular. Hopefully that doesn't complicate things!

 

It`s more of a Dark metal gray color than black.. It would be hot looking on a SSM 09 Fit
