Talking Goodbye SUBURBAN . . .

Well, the twins are out of car seats now, so it's time to DOWNSIZE! I've been looking for a Sport MT w/ NAV for about 3 months.

Today, I happened by a local dealer who just happened to have one in Taffeta White (exactly what I wanted). I'm picking it up tomorrow!

I think I'll be able to fit TWO Fits in my garage where the Suburban now lives . . . maybe I'll get another!!

I'm figuring my annual gas costs will be about 1/3 of what they are now!

if you don't mind me asking, are you planning to trade in your suburban or sell it as a private party? whichever the case, i'm curious about how much you get (or got) for it so if you can let me know i'd appreciate it a lot!

In the past, I've sold my cars privately to get the most $. But with the Suburban, I ended up trading it in because I was concerned that I might have a hard time selling it. There are TONS of them for sale around here. The KBB was around 7K, but I got a long song and dance about them not selling at auction, etc, so I only got $5500 for it--and they threw in the all weather floor mats!

I ordered the JDM waterproof cargo mat (covers the rear seat backs too!) eBay Motors: 2009 09 HONDA FIT JAZZ GE8 JDM CARGO MAT WATER PROOF (item 120333175195 end time Nov-12-08 20:24:26 PST) My next priority is to tint the windows, so I'm about ready for winter!

Contgrads on getting your new Fit and what a great color choice. It is so pretty and classic. That is going
to be a great difference from such a large vehicle to
the sweet little micro. Sounds like mods are on their
way.

Congrats, I'm getting my windows tinted tomorrow which should add a sleek look to my Crystal Black Fit. I'd like to see pics with the all weather mats.

More reason to take the family out sight seeing, roadtrips, mall runs, etc..
an entertainment system would be a good investment right about now.

I'm looking at a Fit, and we just had our 3rd, all 3 and under! To be fair, we have an Odyssey for the family. Like yourself though, I'm looking to downsize from an F-350 Super Duty Diesel. So definitely, two Fits in the place of the truck. I would 1/4 my fuel costs. Still trying to figure out why I haven't done it yet. Oh yeah, very few around, and none like I want. But I'm hoping I'll really like the one I go look at tomorrow. I can't wait for a Fit!

My test drive tonight. I pushed the "stick", 30.8. And it was not even close to a representative test drive for my daily trips.

Sorry, by stick I meant the thing you push that toggles between average mileage, oil life, etc.
