Playing AAC Files from Thumbdrive in the 09 Fit Sport
The manual states:
"The audio system reads and plays
*: Only AAC format files recorded
with iTunes are playable on this
audio unit"
My question is How do I make AAC files appear to have come from iTunes? I use FormatFactory. http://www.formatoz.com/ which rocks completely.
Any takers on this one.
If your wondering why I want AAC files instead of MP3, read this Advanced Audio Coding - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
AAC is smaller with better fidelity.

Well, actually I think it has to do with the file NOT having DRM. Weird. For now I'm just going to convert my FLAC files to MP3, 320Kb/s. I suppose that will have to do. hehe AAC is supposed to be smaller and better sounding though. I need to tak a laptop to my car to see what will work. Better than walking back and forth from house to computer.

I highly doubt the radio could tell the difference between you and joe schmoe (DRM) therefore I would say that the files have to be DRM free. Anything purchased from iTunes has DRM and will not work on anything but a registered computer and an ipod. Itunes always asks for a username and password when trying to play DRM files on a new device. You can use the AAC files just strip the DRM and they will work. It is definately doable. Hope this helps!
EDIT: I meant to say that DRM free AAC files are probably doable, stripping DRM is definately doable on certain files and I cannot guarantee that AAC will work on your radio
