Hey everyone,

So I've looked just about everywhere I can think of online, and the only place I can seem to find the right sized red Honda emblems for my GE are through Genuine Mugen Power, Honda, Spoon Parts and Accessories - BestJDMParts.Com (or through their ebay store), which would cost me about $100+ US to ship to Canada. I've checked the local dealerships with the part numbers and they said that they can't order them in, and I've also checked local tune shops and no luck there either. Does anyone know of a place where I can get the emblems for less than $100 shipped to Canada? Or am I just SOL?

Both emblems are from the 4-door 06-08 civic type-R I think.

I would also love to get the red emblems I'm half tempted to order them from bestjdmparts.com, but if I can find them for less the $100+ shipped to Canada I would rather pay the cheaper price.

I’m not sure about the Fit emblems being the same as the civic but on bestjdmparts.com they have the front and rear for what they stated would work on a 06+ Honda Fit.

 

I checked the dimensions, they're not the same as the new Fit. I measured them myself and compared them to the civic 4 door type R's and they're the same, and as well bestjdmparts has an ebay auction selling those civic ones, and one of the pictures shows the part numbers for both emblems, both of which match up to those given by JDM in his thread You're welcome to double check the dimensions though! Doesn't hurt to have a second check on this thing....$100 bucks is no small sum of money!

 

Just because I'm not a car person, is rubbing alcohol or goo gone safe to use if I take the rear Fit emblem off?

 

Not sure about goo-gone, but I know that alcohol shouldn't harm your car (assuming you're not using large quantities). If you're using it though, I'd recommend using a soft cloth, not papertowel or something. I mean, even if you use papertowel it'll probably be okay since you're covering that area up, but it'll scratch the paint more easily, and depending on the color of your car that might show up more readily.

If you do a search you'll find dozen's of threads wrt the emblems. Also check with JDM_DOHC_SiR to see if you can get them at a lower price, the first sticky thread in this forum.

 

and this guy is legit, I bought my emblems and hazard switch from him.

 

Last time I talked to JDM he said he's not taking orders 'til January....so if I can get them for a reasonable price now I'd get them. I did a search for red emblems on ebay, at ebay Canada and the only ones that came up that were the right size and ship to Canada were from bestjdmparts...though it was nice to see another compliments of baked, above. Do you guys know how much they sell for if you were to go to the honda dealershpi in Japan? I'm trying to harass everyone I know to see if any of them are going to Japan or if they have any friends/relatives going there to get me some =p

 

The problem is that in Japan if you do not own a title to the car your tring to buy parts for a Dealer will turn you away very quickly... and if you do own the title on the car it takes time to get parts from the dealers..since they don`t stock parts.... your best be is a Honda parts center and even there they will ask for the title.. but if you have part#`s it makes life very easy and getting stuff is less of a hastle..

Now the guy that BakedCookies listed on E-bay is a legit seller... ( the guy works at a parts center ).. he is a bit pricey but you`ll get the part you need 100%..... after Jan I`ll be back in the States to start hooking you guys up again if you need it
