On the 09 Fit, on the plastic at the base of the windshield under the wipers, there are two seams. The one on the passenger side (under the tiny wiper) has about a 1/2" gap. The one on the drivers side does not.

Anyone else notice this? I did for the first time tonight. I thought something had come loose, but in looking at other 09s when I can see the same spot they're all like that.

Why would it be like that....water drainage?

I wondered the same thing, but have no answer. It looks like one side of the cowl was mis-measured and molded too short.

 

There was a previous thread about this. I cannot remember where, but the gap was decided to be for water drainage, it is the same gap on all Fits, not a defect.

 

I'm glad I saw this thread. I noticed the same thing on my Fit, and was going to try to find another '09 to compare with. You saved me the trouble. Thanks !!!!!!!

 

yes this was talked about before and is perfectly normal.
