Shockley

Jerelk glad you were able to get a great deal! I guess I am fortunate to have Shockley as my hometown dealer, they are great! They gave me a great deal on my 2011 too.

Ashley, thanks for sharing the information with everyone so that we all can save some $$$

Regarding the engine spring recall Shockley Honda indicated the 2010's they have are late 2010 production cars so they were not included in the recall.

Just purchased yesterday after a President's Sale in the SF Bay Area @ Stevens Creek Honda. Internet manager said it was a price error, but not quite sure - I know other dealers in the area were complaining about them advertising under invoice.

New 2011 Fit Sport AT
Base: $16,288 (from what the dealers have offered, 17,287 seems to be the invoice price they're paying)
Doc: $55
Gov't Fees: $287
Taxes: $1506 (@ 9.25%)
OTD Total: $18,136

Came with phantom footprint that dealer had already installed & I declined the Karr alarm option.

Just in case anyone missed it:https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...es-recall.html

Quite a bit to sort through, but it does give an interesting point-of-view some have, enjoy the read and don't be shy to jump into the fray.

You got a great deal. I got very similar from another SF south bay area dealer, except my base price was about about $200 more. Oh well, I'm still pretty happy with my price since it was $1300 below invoice+DF.

2011 Fit Sport AT, no extra options
price: 16,488
DF: 0
doc: 55
govt fees: 289
tax: 1,530
out the door: 18,359

Hmmm good pricing..... best deal I can find in this area at Boch Honda in MA is 16223 so would save 756 dollars if I could get that deal. Southwest flight about 60 dollars into Baltimore and then drive car back to NH. hmmmmm.......

I hope Shockley's On-The_Road pricing is better than the quote I just got from them...16,991 plus 100 processing plus 750 destination? Seriously? Thats more than I got quoted for a 2011 Sport here in NH

I got a quote on a 2011 PMM Sport A/T from Shockley for $18,100 OTD last week and already put my deposit down! I'm not sure what's going on with your quote...

I'm working with Jon Price, he's a nice guy and I recommend him to anyone heading over to Shockley.

BTW - AshleyK, I owe you at least $700 for throwing Shockley's name out there.

Ok well so much for Shockley being a place to get a great price on a 2010 Fit Sport......I responded back that the price was a bit higher than expected. explained I had been pointed in their direction due to some fantastic pricing that forum members had experienced....jerel2k10...who did you speak with to get that price you mentioned? When I mentioned the price that I had seen others have gotten "Duane" just replied, "Thanks for your submission, have a nice day"

So just sharing my experience with Shockley this morning if anyone else was thinking of buying a Fit at the price of 15467.00

BG,

Seriously, call them and ask for Jonathan Price (if he's in). Tell him Peter from PA pointed you his way. He's a good guy, and I've had nothing but good things to say about him. He quoted my price straight-up, no haggle. Only thing he told me was that the good pricing is only on in-stock models, otherwise I can't imagine where your price is coming from.

Also, if you're using their little internet chat thing, don't--the people that run that are honestly retarded, I think. Most of the people at Shockley, however, are on the up-and-up.

Blackberry_Goose,
That's what happened to Jerel2k10 when he asked for his initial quote. The quote that he got was actually lower than the one you got but higher than mine. So I had to ask Duane, since that's the person that sent me the initial quote if he could extend the quote to another individual and he said yes. The quote that he gave me was good until this past Monday. I can find out if its possible to extend that price. It's a like a hit or miss with these dealers. I believe Jerel2k10 also dealt with Jonathan Price after talking with Duane, I think they all work together as a team to make the sale come through.

It seems like the SF Bay Area had no more 2010 Fits left (otherwise, I would've rather gotten the 2010 and saved a grand or two)

Chef- Thanks for the info...I asked Duane if I was being unrealistic and dropped Jonathan's name as well. He pretty much replied that what he gave me is the internet price and that was the best price I was gonna get.....17.8K on a 2010?? Like I said a local dealer here tried to get me to bite on a 2011 at 17.4k (which I think is a good price)

I sent Jonathan a message asking the same questions...will see if he responds to me....

I understand they are under no obligation to extend that price to me but hey worth a shot to ask right? Not like I asked him to let the car go for 13K...just sort of odd that no counter, no nothing other than thanks and have a great day

Glad you got a great price GrabberMycoal

I dealt with Juan Echendia so anyone could try him as well, he was definitely here's the lowest price no haggle, just here it is. He was great.

I do find it strange that some of the sales men would not give the same quote, but then again maybe they already made their sales quota for the month. I'm assuming they get more or less commission based on the actual sales price so it behooves them to sell a car yes but it behooves them to sell it for more if they can.
