Base Fit, want to go to 16" wheels

Hi all, bought the 09 base model fit, liked the price, only thing I miss is the 16" alloys and tires. Anyone see a problem with fitting the base with the same sized 16's?

yeah, maybe tire rack is the place to start.
I thought I would run the steel wheels and stock tires through the winter, and go with the alloys and 16's next spring.

16s look a little too small for the GE8 IMO. I'm planning on rocking 17s.

The 16" Honda Fit accessory wheels look awesome, almost like a gunmetal type finish. I do believe they're pricey, but you'd avoid the current fitment issues with aftermarket stuff. Honda says you have to reporogram the TPMS on your base car once you install the optional 16's.

Of course, it would be much more cost effective to look for a takeoff set of standard Sport alloys, but you still have to reprogram the TPMS on the base Fit.

I like how the 16's look. Lower it a lil bit and you would be good to go. just my two pennies

reprogramming tpms = waste of time the psi difference would be very minimal going from 15 to 16 or even 17. Let us remember the whole point of the sensors is to let us know when the tire gets low. The psi or air/nitrogen you run is not going to differ so much you that you need to reprogram. Take this from a wheel specialist.

Even if you don't adjust the warning light, you have to do one of two things so the TPMS works correctly:

1) Swap over your old sensors.
2) Get a second set of sensors, go to the dealer, and have the second set initialized, so the control module sees the sensor. If you run winters and regulars, you will probably have to do this twice a year, unless somebody can figure out how to do this at home.
