What Kind of Springs to drop the GE8 on?

Looking to drop my fit, but wanted to get some comments on certain types of springs such as the Tanabe DF210, Tanabe NF210, or the RS*R Springs i've seen a lot of fit freaks drop on lately, not sure what type though, any other springs that you guys prefer or enjoy? Thanks!

How about comfort wise? I want something with a really comfortable ride because the roads over here suck and I have the kids in the car.

hmm how's the comfort on the Tanabe DF210's?

According to:
Tanabe DF210 Springs 2009+ Honda Fit - P/N: TDF143

The drop on the DF210's are 1.3 front and 1.8 rear hmm what do you guys think of the way those sit?

And for the RS*R's, are there any springs for the fit that are in the price range of $200's? just some drop springs or something, not looking for coilovers or anything really! just want my car to sit nicely!

$225 for DF210 at advancespeedshop.com

The ride is definitely bumpier than stock by a lot.

Tein springs usually are not the greatest, sure they give the car a nice stance, but they are usually way to soft and make the car handle worse than factory.

I'm going with Tanabe Df210's after seeing this:

The Tanabe DF210s look like they give a good drop. I'm going to get those in the spring when the nasty winter weather is gone.

If you don't need them right now then I say its better to hold off until Spring because it'll give the manufacturers more time to put out additional springs for the 09s.

Yeah I like that drop a lot... Which post was that from, I want to find out if the OP has any rubbing issues.

I kinda wanna drop it, but not sure if I want to go that route.

Are there any long term side effects that one should know about before dropping?
Shocks wearing out, rubbing, clearance issues, voiding warranty?

Yes, you will more than likely deal with some or all of the issues above, but that comes with the territory. If you want to mod you have to be ready to deal with these type of issues.

As the saying goes "You have to pay to play"

I've got Tein S-Tech on my other car and they are only good if used with an adjustable shock. The springs by themselves with stock shocks suck balls but combined with my KYB AGX I can dial them in where I want comfort wise. On the Fit I'm likely going to get some Tanabe NF210 on the stock shocks for now or I'll just wait for T1R or J's Racing to come up with something streetable like the T1R spring and shock combo. I'm in no hurry tho cause it's blowing snow outside right now!!! :P

aite, after having the DF's, NF's, Eibach Pro-Kit, and D2 Coilovers, I would have to say that the Pro-Kit and DF's are the most comforting! But if ure looking for a more substantial drop, I would def get the DF's. Did i mention that I'm selling BNIB DF/NF 210's for... $210? Any1 interested? Hit me up! 714.915.2384

I heard with the GF210's you need a camber kit...if you don't want excessive tire wear. Do you need a camber kit with the NF210's. I have a Acura Cl-S with NF210's and no camber kit was needed. I would hope this would be the same on the fit. Anybody know?

well, Tanabe doesn't have any plans to produce the GF's for the GE yet, but the NF's are a more conservative drop and the DF's are a more drastic drop but camber kit def not needed... unless u wana look sexy! On the real tho, after having the DF's on my car with falken ziex for over 8k miles, I haven't noticed any camber wear yet...

Oops I meant to type DF's instead of GF's sorry.

Oh ok...I talk to another person on here and they had put a camber kit on their DF210's with 16" rims..I thought it was a must with DF's. Good to know thanks.
