Cool Anyone able to get below invoice for 09 Manual Sport Fit?

Hey everyone,
I've been shoppin around and researching and all that jazz, and I keep reading over and over that it's almost impossible to get below MSRP for the 09 Fit. Has anyone gotten below MSRP? or below invoice?

I could've gotten 400 CAD off my sport, but decided to take some other incentives instead....that's also because I was referred to the sales manager. So there is markup (obviously), but they're trying their best not to give any of that away so that they can still make some money =p

$700? They must have made close to nothing off of your sale....if I were them I wouldn't have sold it to you for that much off haha.

Talking

yea i just made my final agreement last night and got the 09 manual sport in white for $680 under msrp in crystal lake, il
it was about an hour drive to get there, but it was worth it, cause the two local hondas wouldn't budge below msrp....soooo now i have to wait 4-6 weeks...hopefully i'll get it at the 4 week mark, which will be dec. 30th...right before the new year

i'm really excited!

I believe it really depends on where you live. But 680 under sticker I think is under invoice, so they're losing money unless there are kickbacks.

I paid $500 below MSRP on a Fit Sport this weekend. Picked up the car last night. Boch Honda has just gotten in more Fits and want to get them sold before the end of the year. I'm sure they're trying to meet some sales quota to get a kickback from Honda.

Depends on where you live. In WI, I could definitely believe invoice. Here in CA, no way. Most dealers are still demanding (and getting) markups over MSRP.

That's odd: MSRP is pretty consistently about 10% above invoice for Honda and Acura. No wonder the dealers are so keen to mark them up...

I live in Santa Cruz. The Ocean Honda dealer said the lowest he could go on a Fit Sport MT was 17,5 whereas when I went to Stevens Creek Honda, I got $100 under MSRP (I mean real MSRP, I got it for 16,363).

Good job: that's rare. Did they stick you with any accessories? I was amazed at how much $$$ they make on that stuff. BTW, you might want to think about servicing elsewhere. I've heard some bad stories about Stevens Creek.

$200 under MSRP for Manual w/navi, with wheel locks thrown in.
Manly Honda Santa Rosa

I did get several options on top of the base car price, but the price offer was made before they knew I was intending to purchase any options.

Congrats. I was going to offer on that car but I wasn't so into the BBP.

I did have to wait for it for a couple of months before the dealer could find one.
I think the dealer buyers agreed with you, making the combo very scarce.
So what color did you get?

BIG Congratulations, you only live about 1-10 miles from me btw. Like I said in your other thread, thought you would do your best in Crystal Lake or Lisle. I think Rosen has lost my business forever over the last deal buying my 09 where Lisle did so much better.
Welcome aboard
Mike
