anyone able to get a portable satellite radio to work with the USB connection in the 'upper' glovebox??

 

How would that work exactly? AFAIK the USB port is only for thumb drives or iPods/iPhones.

Why not use the existing aux-in jack on all the models? I did for my XM Inno.

My Inno has a USB jack for syncing with a computer for software updates and moving music to the memory, but I don't think audio flows through that port.

 

Uhhh - I don't know of any satellite radios with USB type connections?

They normally have an aux out, which goes into the aux in port just fine.

 

Something like a Sirius Stiletto would have a USB connection... but no it wont work with the USB on the Fit. You will have to use a 3.5mm male/male audio cable to the aux. If it charges through USB you might be able to use the USB connection to charge it while you listen.

 

thanks everyone! think i got the idea-- now just need to find the 'aux in' on the radio.. (i have Navi-- the radio is part of the navi system)

 

The aux is down low on the center stack next to the 12 v power jack in front of your shifter.
