Looking for a round aluminum shift knob

So, I love this shift knob but I'm not spending $100+ on a knob.

Any ideas on where I could find the same knob but in anodized aluminum? Checked some of the normal vendors, and eBay... found a stainless knob that looks the same, but I prefer aluminum... unless someone knows of a round Ti knob for around $50!

Any help would be appreciated.

Great - thanks for the lead man. Looks like an aluminum one's going to cost around $70... maybe I'll just scratch up a few more $$ for the pretty blue Ti one!

get the weighted skunk2 knob. helps make shifting smoother and is on the cheap side.

I love the round ones. Too bad the round s2000 knob is for a 6 speed. I would have bought one for my integra.

How does the T1R do temperature-wise?

I used to have an aluminum shift knob and I hated it. Scalded in the summer, and worse, in the winter it was so cold I didn't want to touch it at all.

That was my biggest concern about going aluminum. I opted to go with the oem leather knob, black on black. Great feel, but I like the weight and countersink that comes with the aluminum.

Another factor was making the knob invisible to prying eyes (thieves). Black on black seemed less conspicuous than shiny metal.

until i burned my hand during summer. Now i'm a big fan of leather shift knobs.

You say ANY help, so here's something $33.99:
eBay Motors: HONDA Titanium Ti Shift Knob Shift Knobs 10mm x1.25 (item 280212758523 end time Jan-21-09 11:55:32 PST)

And again, $39.99:
eBay Motors: HONDA Titanium Shift Knob Ti Shift Knobs 10mmx1.25 (item 200278451195 end time Jan-19-09 13:10:08 PST)

I have NO idea about anything to do with knobs, but that has never stopped me from commenting on other things I didn't know about. So, here's another something-something, but I don't even know if it would fit the FIT (but I liked the colors):
Shift Knobs

It looks like they have a solid shiny black. It does say they make custom ones. And there are a lot of people on this forum. Maybe if enough people showed an interest, they would make them for the FIT.

Especially since so many of their colors and the FIT colors would be NICE together.

Another possible source, of interesting knobs:
http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-sal...chininsts.html

I kind of liked that they were made by hand. Maybe locally to some people on this forum. Be sure to look on the first page and the fourth page. First page has a solid black and solid white. The last page has several metal tones. A gunmetal gray, a blue, a bronze, and blue/bronze fade. They are about $80.00 each. And yes, there is a nice stainless look. I think those are the right size.

Oh, forgot...it mentions IN the thread this:
" If there is interest in aluminum knobs, I can get a set made of those via CNC machine as well. All of the copolymer knobs are hand made by me on my lathe right now. "

Maybe there is something in the above you haven't seen yet?

Just use something to cover the aluminum in the summer and winter. Problem solved! I think Rick's S2000 Accessories sells something specifically for this.

Oh, also for the OP they sell a round aluminum knob for around $40 I think. I was considering it but decided to save up for the T1R knob.

Isn't the whole point of this little bit of rice to be a garnish? Why would you cover it up?

I've used TWM shift knobs on my last three cars, I love them! Very heavy, no set screws and you can screw them all the way down. $69 in aluminum, only 150 grams though. $99 in cromoly at 460 grams! Highly recommended product.

I've seen some people use:
eBay Motors: JDM Mugen Reservoir Cover Civic Integra Del Sol RSX (item 380093250527 end time Jan-04-09 23:15:05 PST)
