Is installing this thing a simple task? Does it just clip into the default Fit hooks? Or do brackets/screws etc need to be drilled/installed?

 

i think it is just a tray that sits in the back of the fit cargo area.

 

Do you mean the cargo cover? If so, the cover is a little more tricky as you have to install 5-6 screws into the back seat. The pre-drilled holes are hidden behind the carpet.

 

The organizer just clips onto the hooks on either side of the cargo area.

It fits and looks good -- but the SMELL. Yuck! I bought one for my 09 Fit.

The cargo organizer is the one used for the Odyssey also. It has such a strong plastic/chemical smell that I can't stand it and refuse to put it in my car.

I thought it was just the "new" smell that some vinyl/plastic/synthetic materials have. So I let it air out for a couple of days. It started smelling so bad in the house that I threw it out in the garage. The smell is not dissipating from this awful thing and I am going to ask Bernardi to give me a refund.

I've never had a product smell like that.

Where did you buy yours and does it stink????

I even sprayed it with Lysol!

 

i have one in my 07, doenst smell weird after a while
