Drop in filter recommendations?

I know K&N doesn't have one yet for the 09. What do you guys recommend for a drop in?

How hard would it be to remove the resonator?

Are you talking about the exhaust resonator? Why would you want to remove it? Keep the resonator; you will like the sound better and it really doesn't impede exhaust flow enough to really do anything--as far as I have been told.

I know you are talking about the intake box resonator. Since the Fit is force fed cold air through the under hood scoop on the bottom of the hood I don't know if it is smart to remove the resonator just in case your under hood scoop takes in water. Thus being the purpose of the resonator I know (plus to keep the intake quieter) But a flooded engine might not be worth the better sound...Get my point?
(believe me I know how that feels happen to my 99 Ford Ranger during a flooded street crossing)

I understand why you want to remove the resonator though. My Acura CL-S sounded and breathed so much better after removing the intake box resonator but I didn't have a cold air feed to the intake like the fit has.

Keep in mind I pick up my fit later this week so then I will have a chance to examine the intake more in depth.

Keep me updated on your progress.

you'll get almost zero gains, just noise. stick with the stock filter unless H-Fit
comes out with a SSI for the GE8's.
