been waiting for this new model along time

My first Jazz/Fit 2002 1.3 Manual

My Second Jazz/Fit 2005 1.5 sport CVT 7 speed paddle gear box, bigger motor, smoother ride, different dash/stereo where a much appreciated upgrade, same shape with better looking front end

Now the long awaited re-designed model. that I finally got after along delay. on the 6/1/09 ( had to share it with you all )

After reading allot of the reviews about the new Honda 2008/9 Jazz/Fit, It has topped sales worldwide, and has had praise by most top car magazines, and even has the AMI, New Zealand Auto Car, small car of the year 2008 award, To add to the list. Unfortunately some off the reviewers don’t appreciate this car for what it is(each to there own),but this is one great little big car for $$$$$ spent.

Personally after having two previous models, I have to say the makeover that Honda have done, gets a major thumbs up in my books, great safety features , road noise has been improved dramatically , ride quality has improved, car feels so much more solid, and drives so smoothly compared to previous models but still has that thrill factor, power delivery from the motor is far better spread(also due to gear ratio), giving the car a far faster launching speed off the mark, for pulling out into traffic from intersections, and even tho it’s a small motor in 3rd/4th gear it still pulls nicely from a near standstill in city driving, and the overall look off the car is so much easier on the eye. IMO

I am so loving driving this new model, I'll use any excuse to go out for a drive, as it really has put the fun back into driving small cars

Thumbs up Nice looking!

Wow, I like the bumpers on your car more than the ones we have in the US.

The color is very nice too (same as my '07).

What kind of stereo do you have, and will you put on an armrest?

Ok, I finally give in to the rear bumper. I will purchase one for my TW if the exhaust outlets are painted matte black.

The car would them be perfect....or would it? (More money spent)

Very nice, I like your first and third cars the most.

standard stereo, dont get the Nav option( but will look at importing one), I ordered arm rest but have to wait for it to arrive, as the car has just been released here, car goes back to dealer on wednesday to have a tiny chip fixed in drivers door very minor surface chip. getting 35 percent tinting done tomorrow all round. our laws have just changed, use to be 35 front side then whatever on the rest, but now only allowed 35 all round.

Interestingly, your new car appears to have leather seating. You can't get those here in the U.S. of A. My wife would have been much happier if we could have ordered leather instead of cloth.

Ditto.
Did that leather come from Honda directly?

Isn't that a Mugen rear with the dual exhausts?

Love the car it looks great!!! Jazz ftw!

The leather does come through Honda, it was an extra $2,800NZD I think they should offer all options in every country, Im anoyed they didnt give us the nav option with VSA.

and yes it is a mugen rear dual exhaust, we get the standard sport model and then the Tempo model(pictured above) which I think is simular to what mugen an honda are releasing in the USA.
After many hours surfing this site and looking on the net at all the different body kits that where avalibe for the car, I also thought it was an unusual combo Modulo front end, and Mugen Rear, this is how it came from Honda

Fitfreakin' love the seats! If only that was an option for us. Maybe sometime in the future. Not crazy about the Mondulo front, but love the Mugen rear. I've got some mod plan for the income tax return now!

.

Options are also different for Canada. It must be part of Honda's marketing strategy. Maybe NAV is not as popular in New Zealand because of the different geography - smaller country.

Jazz Tempo FTW!!!! It's a beautiful car. Everything about it I want!!! Love the leather seats with the red stitching, climate controls, the body kits, the small bumpers, the side mirrors with signal winkers, the tails. Truly beautiful. I even want the right side drive...

Are the tails led? and are the side mirrors auto-fold? not that it really matters the whole car is beautiful!!!!

I guess your theory of Honda releasing ever more options on subsequent models holds true for NZ, I just wished they would free up the options earlier, and quicker here in the US.

Enjoy the car, and congrats.

Thanks, Dont worry I intend too.
it does have the auto folding mirrors, the led tail lights where a bit pricy from honda as an extra, I may go with after market later, I kinda dont mind the standard tail lights that came with it as they have a decent size break light compared to previous models, which i thought needed addressing.
