6 Days 1,000 miles. (and wasn't doing pointless driving to break it in).
RSX 2 Years 70,000 (this is just commuting around the Houston Area.

Are you guys sure we not soppose to change the engine oil sooner than 3 k for the first oil change?
Where are you guys getting this information from?
I work at a HONDA Dealership, and a lot of the mechanics are telling me to change it at 3k and to dont buy into the 5k oil change shiet.......
seriously, its in the manual. and it's more like 7500

December 28th
623 miles
100% oil still

I had 88k miles on my RSX before I sold it. Bought that in December 2001 and sold it in March of 2008.
I notice a lot of RSX owners (or previous owners like me) on here. I wonder why...

well..when one of them is your cousin...you kind of would trust them...espcially if he been working at honda dealerships for well over 15 years. and is consider a master technician from american honda.
and my self has been employed at a honda dealership for over 4.5 years in parts.

but yeah..other than that..i wouldnt trust the general mechanics at honda dealership either..i see a lot of shady shiet that goes on at the dealership =)

where in the manual??
all i see is that it says to change it at 0-15% oil life left
but i do not trust a computer to tell me the life of oil left...how accurate is this thing??..cause the MPG calculator ISNT ACCURATE AT ALL

Mine was a month yesterday. About 210 miles. I'm not even at a half a tank yet. Although it had 69 miles on it when I got it with a full tank.

1850 miles, bought it late December 2008. 90% oil life left. My MPG has been pretty accurate, just have to reset it as soon as I fill up. I do mostly highway driving though.

My Fit Sport was pickup from the Honda dealer on Jan 10 and it has about 495 miles on the odometer now. I was able to do 310 miles of the first tank full of gas courtesy of the dealership. Hopefully I should be able to get better mpg on the second tank.
