Thanks! I could not stand the ugly die cast looking calipers and wheel wells that is just over spray from the factory.. This car is fun to work on but I am not much for hop up parts like the car stock..

Good job man, you didnt have to cover anything or anything, The paint on your rotor would come off near rigth away after first time braking or you could simply have some varsol with you and go over it then, saves you a lot of time.

Glad you choose black and not red :S

looks GREAT dude!

Interesting. I like it better than people who have chipped up red calipers

Appreciate the kind words, I wanted to post this up to show that a small amount of work can make your car look so much better and everyone is capable of doing this simple modification.

Thought I could spray paint the whole rotor but was not sure my concern was gumming up the brake pads..

Brake Cleaner make sure spray out the inside wheel wells and caliper before painting. Rear wheel wells I used 3M Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating I would have done the front but I only bought one can not enough to go around. Calipers I used High Temp VHT flat black paint..

Yes I will post a side view pic in the sun light next Saturday.. I go to work in the dark come home in the dark

Couple more pics really like how this turned out the caliper do not stand out and that was my intention.. Went riding this weekend and just to show how much room this car has getting my mountain bike in and out the Fit was a piece of cake

nice job dude! I painted the front-driver wheel and caliper today. I'm gonna do one a day lol. I didn't spray the wheelhub though, or the wheelwell. Just the wheel and caliper. I'll get pics tomorrow or tonight.

I used brakecleaner all over the hub/caliper/rotor and black caliper paint from autozone.

wow what a riskaaaay way man, not that hard to get the calipers off or the drum cover, much easier to work with and no risking getting paint on the braking surface, dont have to mask up shit either.

Quick question, I never painted my calipers, but do they eventually flake off or peel off. I would also like my calipers to be black instead of the iron looking color. But +1 rep nice job.

Depends on the paint you buy.. You want either High Temp or Caliper paint..and you may run into fading along the way this is probably something I will do every year..

Your absolutely right .. I did not see any effect in braking what so ever this was just a quick easy fix to the ugly stock brake calipers ..
