i believe you're comparing jdm vs usdm, not euro.

and i dont think there's a shell difference, those photos are at different angles.

Ya dude looks the same to me. The tail lights are different but the black plastic rear hatch thing is the same but with a chrome top on it on the one car. Also I don't understand why you are comparing the interior when one is LHD and the other is RHD. ?????

 

I could care less about the rest of it, I want the floor mats out of the interior picture of the JDM version.

Actually I take that back. If anyone in Europe can find a left hand drive front dash from a fit with electronic climate control and the wiring harness, you can send me one for Christmas. Woot!!

hrmmm...now i know why my 09 TW JAZZ looks shorter than USDM, I have got a JAZZ a while ago and it looks the same as the JDM.....

 

The angle of the two fits in comparison is not much different, yet it is obvious that the front end of the USDM is longer. The angle of the hood is different as well. The JDM is steeper while the USDM is flatter. As for the larger rim vs smaller rim comment, if the rim on the USDM is smaller, the line drawn would have been further AWAY from the headlights, indicating an even longer front end. On the european honda site, the jazz is listed at 3900mm, while the USDM fit is listed at 4105mm. That is a 20 CM difference! The bumpers on the USDM is not much longer than the JDM, and hence cannot and does not account for the 20 cm difference. There is a chasis or fender panel difference between the fits. The USDM is quite a bit longer.

But I don't understand WHY they put on diffrent rear lights on the USDM and JDM Fit? I thought producing two diffrent parts was more expencive than using the same. Is there so much diffrences in regulations on the lights on cars in these two parts of the world?

I know the USDM car is longer due to larger impact zone regulations in the US.

On the picture the USDM Fit does not have turning lights in the mirrors, is this normal for the USDM Fit? Or is there any diffrences between base/sport models with this light?

 

neither has signals in mirrors but the base model front bumper looks similar to the regular fit posted above, not the rs. cheers

 

US taillights require side reflectors (better visisbility in parking lots?). LED tails means no room for reflectors...stupid NHTSA ruins everything lol

 

The point is the diffrences not that it is LHD or RHD:
LHD has more buttons on steering wheel.
LHD has speakers on dashboard up against the windshield.
LHD has Blue lights behind the dials.
LHD has manual AC.
LHD has a 3rd part nav system.
LHD has a diffrent deadpedal than the RHD.
RHD has a OEM nav system.
RHD has electronic AC.
RHD has orange lights behind the dials.

LHD seems to have some more buttons on the center console below the electronic AC. I'm not sure off this, it could be the picture that makes some reflections at that point on the LHD interior picture. On the EUDM there is a cigarette lighter here. Probably on both USDM and JDM too. But still seems like there is more buttons on the LHD picture.

The whole front end is stretched on the USDM, all different parts including hood, fenders, headlights and bumper/facia. Maybe better crash protection and aerodynamics also.
Rear lower facia is longer too. US has laws where front and rear must withstand a 5 mile per hour impact.

A number of people here have swapped tail lights with guys from Thailand and Indonesia, including me, I have JDM base tail lights.

 

You are comparing a Type G GE (JDM) against a Sport GE (USDM), of cos there are big difference. Try comparing a RS with a Sport and u will see less difference.

But yes, JDM GEs are shorter and teh dash lights are amber, compare to blue for USDM. Also, the auto-climate control is an option for JDM fits. Oh and one more thing, JDM fits heat ducts located at the buttom of the windshield, its designed to warm up the wipers - details unknown

 

Even if they were compatible, the 'kick up' in the light pattern would be on the wrong side....
