I realize that a car, like people, will age, and get bruised as time goes on. worrying about blemishes on the car will only get you more gray hair, so why bother? one day it will sit in the junk yard, no matter how much you baby it today. that's life. save the 500 bucks and buy some good blue chip stocks now. that money will multiply surely in a few years as economy bounces back. at that time, use that extra money to buy a better Fit (w/ shiny new bleminish-free paint and more whistles and bells).
Nope, not right now anyway. The scuffs were noticeable and the car is too new to not have it taken care of. I may be poorer but I'm glad I had the work done since it's a factory-quality job and I may even love my car more now.

What was the name of the shop you used? And what city? Just in case I need to use it one day...

Royalty Body Shop in Santa Monica. There was really no trace of repainting in their work. The paint looks 100% stock and the personnel were very nice and professional.
