It's really an aid or convenience that models the throttle response to certain types of driving. IF you want uber sporty driving, you wouldn't have to pump the pedal so aggressively... as well, if you wanted increased economy, you wouldn't have to worry over stepping on it too much and babying it. It's just another tool some may find quite useful. I guess you shouldn't knock it unless you've tried it in the end.

I don't have it, but I'd bet it does in fact address that.

I am not so sure because after installing the PRM intake, the lag is gone.

Sorry didn't mean to hijack this thread.

It does not.

I was hoping it would because that's something that bugs me as well, and I was hoping that MAYBE, just maybe the throttle controller would help (though I don't see why it would). Good thing is, I've finally got used to it, and stopped bothering me as much as when I first got the car.

After I get my springs fitted, my next mods will be intake, lightened flywheel and lsd - I think after those are done, I will be just about as happy as I will get for FIT n/a performance.

Throttle response has nothing what so ever to do with power. It is completely different, even an RC car with a little tiny motor has good throttle response. Check out the throttle response from a small 2-stroke motor like a weed wacker or chainsaw.

If you pay close attention to how the fit throttle responds (even when out of gear and not under a load), you'll notice a lag from when you mash it. To me it seems like it could be intentional lag from the ECU...

Thumbs up twptrade.com

The Electronic Throttle Controller that Panson Pan sells gets rid of the LAG and it will down shift alot sooner with the A/T Fits. 50 to 80 is 2-3 times faster, and I also use Hitest gasoline and yes this makes a difference too! $140.00 to your door.
SP7 and just press down alittle and your out'a there! Best Money I've spent on the MzFiT

I'm am by no means an expert on the fit nor do I have half the knowledge of I would say 80% of the people on this forum but I'm surprised there are people here that haven't heard of these throttle controllers.

There is also the D1 Spec throttle controller that A&J racing is offering. Seen here:

https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/aj-r...ontroller.html

It too has all the modes of the Pivot for a far cheaper price and looks pretty slick. The blitz is no where near worth the money at it's $350 price tag when you can get the one from Pivot, D1 Spec or the one from Panson Pan on this forum. I've been eyeing the D1 Spec from A&J for a while because it's only $109 (fitfreak price) nad comes with the plug and play harness.

They all have the same functionality, maybe some have more settings than others. I for one want one for the eco modes. I'm thinking it might help me or rather FORCE ME to lay off the throttle a bit. Also, who wouldn't want that added responsiveness when they need it!

You think it would force you to lay off the throttle, but when the thing is within hands reach you will be pushing the button to get it back to normal at least. Also it is just so much more responsive at SP7 that mine pretty much stays at this setting. Just makes the car so much more fun to drive.
