Cargo Tub

So I stopped in my local Lowes to see if they had something I could use in the back of our 2009 Fit Base. I head over to where the concrete stuff is and I find a black "Super Tub" by MacCourt..
Model #ST3608..Dimensions:36"x24"x8"deep.
Fits perfectly. Best part: it was like $14.50!! I plan on using some foam strips on the corners that contact the rear of the cargo area.

Good find.

The cargo organizer that Honda sells is $50 and is just a partitioned rectangle made of canvas.

For the time being I am using the OEM cargo tray and 2 black plastic storage cubes from Wal-Mart that were $5. They fit perfectly width-wise and are great for groceries and such.

I may go with this in the future though:

Walmart.com: Contico SUV Tuff Bin: Storage & Organization

I'll look at using some velcro so it doesn't move around, and so I can move it when I need to put the rear seats down.

One of the best kept secrets I ever found out about. In addition, on a snowy hill they make for a fun ride. I had one in my Porsche in CA and used it to go down the hills in the snow many times. And, if you are hauling something dirty like bricks or soil or whatever, you keep the car clean and can hose out the Utility Tub.

Thanks for sharing this. I had pretty much forgotten about it. Out for now.....on my way to Lowes.

Cool idea...Walmart also has basically the same canvas storage unit that Honda has. Honda $59.00- Walmart @$28.00.

Hey thanks Reako for the quick pic...
The tub is perfect. Doesnt even move around at all. I had a roll of foam w/adhesive backing which i cut and stuck to each corner...even my wife liked it!
