Hi Iīm Francisco from Mexico, I just bought a 2009 Fit, Iīve been used it for 1 month and I donīt like too much, this Fit is my first Honda, I had a 2001 Dodge Neon and you know when you buy or change your car you do comparisons and well Iīm a little dissapointed because I hope a little more from Honda, for example I feel that the plastic is cheap I donīt feel the plastic as I feel in my old neon and the paint as well I feel like is more easy to scratch the paint than in my old neon, then when I drive the fit without the ac itīs fine but if I turn on the ac it loose power, a lot, my fit is mt, and since I got the car from the dealer it has sounds in the interior I mean the cargo tray cover sounds, the rear belts sounds, and is true the engine sound is in the interior, if you donīt turn on the radio you will hear the engine all your trip, I would like the temperature gauge in the dashboard I donīt like that It dosnīt have one, because if the car warm you will not know up to be hot, in the other hand I like the size of the car, the whels, big, and nice, the steering wheel itīs nice too with the controls, I would like an arm rest or a center console, well thatīs all first of all Iīm sorry for my english you know Iīm from Mexico and my englis is a little poor

 

yep, that's the fit. it's still an economy car, you're not gonna get top of the line material. but it's a great car. any car will lose power with the AC on.

So, did you test drive the Fit before buying it? If you're having issues with the interior rattling, you need to see your dealer. I've had my Fit since September, and have had none of the problems you described. As for the power issue with the AC on, that's normal for a small engine...can't believe you can compare it to a Dodge Neon...how was the resale value on that Neon?

 

Hello Burbio, Hello Taffeta, yes I know that itīs a cheap car, but I donīt the price in my country itīs the same for the fit and a 2009 mitsubishi lancer, I wanted a small car for the city, you know low gas consume, the size for park, to clean, and more, but if you do a comparison between the lancer and fit well Iīm not prety sure that the quality are the same, I mean for the price, I like the fit but It could be better, and youīre right taffeta my old neon resale price was less than 1/4 of the original price, in fact I prefer to sell it to my girlfriend in payments than sell it to some one else, I love my old Neon too , I see a lot of differences between the Fit and the Neon like the comfort driving the shifts are gently, the engine is quietter, Iīm happy with the fit but as I wrote it it could be better, am I right?

I shopped around before buying my Honda Fit and found it was the best car in it's class. You mentioned road noise and that you wished you had a armrest/console. I have a 2009 Fit Sport, and it came with a driver side armrest. Here's a couple of ideas you might consider to help you enjoy your Fit as much as I do. To help for a quieter ride, I sprayed an undercoating inside my fender wells, (be careful not to get it on your paint, be sure to tape off the area & remove the wheels before spraying), or take it to a professional. Also, you can go to www.Partscheap.com and click on Honda. They offer a armrest/console that's really nice for about $179.00.
