Animal hair + lint + 2nd gen Fit = bad

Okay, the G/F has a 2009 Fit and we love the friggin thing! Only minor annoyance so far would be the seat materials ability to invite hair, lint, etc. on to it and keep it forever. She has used lint rollers and those microfiber lint mitts with no success. Any tips or tricks? Good looking seat covers? Thanks!

AMEN!!!

I took my parents dog to the groomer the other day. It's a little Pomeranian.
When I dropped her off at my parents house, I told them "NO MORE" or at least in a kennel next time.

Hair was everywhere. Even the door panels were covered. It took 2 hours of vacuuming to get it out.

I actually keep a Lint roller in the car at all times. The only solution I have found is constant cleaning.

the GE fit has the absolute worst interior cloth of any vehicle I have ever owned. I tell Honda that to on every survey they send me.

I want to do a full Katskinz interior perforated suede centers with black leather outers and blue stitching, but it looks like only dealers can buy from them now.

Once a week I take some lint rollers or so good old fashion duct tape and pick up the lint and dog hair.

Leather is nice..but d*mn its hot in the summer cold in the winter. I am not minding the cloth seats too bad. Nice change from leather.

It's impossible to cheat on your woman with this car. The other babe's hair would leave damaging evidence.

I too want to add the Katzskin leather but I believe you can order your set from: Honda Fit / Fit Sport 5 dr Katzkin Leather Interior (2 row) you can customize it and add heating element to both front seats and install it yourself or the company can supply a local upholstery shop to have it professionally installed.

I ONLY let my dogs in the rear section and leave the seats up if they come with us!

The best thing to get hair out of a car interior is a dog brush. Find one of the ones with the little rubber nubs on it. Use a vacuum beside your hand, and just brush the seats. The hair pops out and gets sucked up. Works very well for me (I have a Vizsla which is a short hair, not sure if that matters or not.)

read somewhere on this site that one used a protective spray (not scotch) that prevents the fabric from attracting lint and keep it stain resistent. forgot the name. meant to buy it. just one spray and no more rolling! if anyone remembers or can find it please dig that post out.

I've found you can use a latex glove (like the kind the cops used the last time they stopped you) on one hand to wipe the hair up out of the weave, then vacuum it up with the vac in the other hand.

actually it's not duct tape, but i use standard "wide"
masking tape to clean joining areas of seats sometimes
to get the last of the lint and soil.

Here is the contact information for the regional sales rep for Virginia. He should be able to supply you with information about licensed dealers/installers in your area.

Nice find... hopefully one day....

for now I'm gonna try to use the scotch guard for stain protection, and try to maybe find some anti static guard or something, the seats do attract any piece of dust, dirt, hair, etc...

Dog hair

I have tried using a lint removing glove, and a lint roller made by pledge. They did not work well. I tried using duct tape tape too, and it worked great.
