Get a vac that has a "pet brush", which is a rotating beater brush. NP to remove all the hair easily.

cover for cargo area

I received a back seat / cargo cover as a gift that works great for protecting your interior. Works well with the seat in normal position, as well as in cargo mode. I found it great for my two boxers. I hook it to the back of the rear seats, and when I need a covered area I drop the seats, and its ready. It covers the whole cargo area.

I will try to post pictures sometime.

The black seats are the worst, everything shows up on them... including my blonde hair. I just ordered a pair of front seat covers because I'm tired of vacuuming every other day.

Anyone have any luck with Scotch Guard for preventing bad stains and stuff?

I have not used Scotch Guard, but before I sold my Civic I was able to clean 2 year old soda stains out with resolve. I actually used the can of foaming spray canned version that had the Food Lion name on it (generic version of Resolve. It got out years old pizza hut smell and stains from being a delivery driver along time ago. The salesman at the dealership said I kept my car spotless. Yet I finally gave the car a much deserved cleaning the day before. I was able to get a decent trade in value.

I was in Walmart and picked up the Black & Decker corded Dust Buster which they call their Retriever pet series designed to pick up pet hair. Here's a link to Amazon

Amazon.com: Black & Decker HV9010P Retriever Pet-Series Cyclonic-Action Corded Dustbuster and Blower: Kitchen & Dining

I figured, it was worth a shot and since Walmart is good about accepting returns, what was there to lose.

Well let me tell you, I was very impressed. This corded hand vac has excellent suction and the Retriever turbo brush really works well. And it comes with a two year warranty, so if the dog hair tears up the Retriever turbo brush I can always get a replacement. Very happy with this one.

I have an older Dirt Devil corded hand vac, and it's suction is not great.

No joke, the Duster Buster has suction that is as strong as or stronger than my 5 gallon shop vac. I hook up the vacuum hose to the Dust Buster and then the Turbo brush on the end of the hose which makes it easier to keep the brush head in contact with the seats and carpet. Pop off the turbo head and use the end of the hose to pick up whatever stray dog hairs the brush doesn't pick up. Very slick.

Dog hair removal solved.
