Question: OEM Suspension

Hi fellows, is there a difference between the base, LX and Sports suspension?

Recently asked the stealership if Sports have stiffer springs/shocks and rear stabilizer bar and I get different answers. Some say yes, but can't confirm the presence of a rear stabilizer bar on the Sports...some say they dunno.

There's no difference with the springs/shocks of all 3 models.

The Sport has a rear stabilizer bar and it goes through inside the rear cross member so it's difficult to spot.

The Base and LX are exactly the same suspension wise.

you already got the right answer from virtual. just remember not to believe everything the dealership tells you. if you do your own research, you probably already know more than the salesperson.

One other thing that involves handling... The wheels/tires.

The Base has 15" steel wheels with hubcaps on 175/65R15 tires.
The LX comes with 15" alloy wheels on the same 175/65R15 tires.
The Sport gets 16" alloy wheels and is running on 185/55R16 tires.

1. the sport has front AND rear antisway bars 22/17 mm; standard only front bar. 20 mm. Neither is easy to change. Or see, except for the links.
2.The parts department can tell you if springs/shocks for standard and for Sport have different part numbers. If they don't, then the springs are the same.

Needless to say the wheels and tires are better on the Sport.

I didn't know you could change the rear( sway bar ) one out ...... I thought that it was welded/ integral part of the rear beam
