OEM visors scratch easily!
OEM visors scratch easily!
I just installed the OEM window visors recently and after wiping it dry when it got wet from the rain, I already see lots of fine hairline scratches. Even me just wiping off some smudge with my finger seems to leave a few fine scratches too.
Has anyone else with the visors found the same problem?
And is there anything I can use to get rid of the fine scratches or cover it up or anything...?
Cheers in advance everyone

Obviously if you wipe it off with just plain rain water it will scratch. Water alone wont get rid of the dirt that your scraping across the visor with the towel.
Also using an abrasive paper towel will obviously scratch it. Clean with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber towel only.
You just have to learn to properly care for these. Any abrasive like a polish or plastx is too strong for the visors. Just keep them sealed with a synthetic sealant and wash them correctly. Dont use plain water, windex, or paper towels...

On a side note my hood deflector has ZERO scratches and I've used paper towel on that. Must be a higher grade plastic.
No big deal. They work and you have to look really close to see the scratches.
