I've used plastx for some time, usually to clean the plastic headlight covers on the Protege. Never had any problems with it. It's a fairly mild abrasive so it wont do any harm.

There seems to be no way to even CLEAN the instrument "glass" without scratching it. What's worse, the covers are angled so they pick up dust (requiring frequent cleaning) and they reflect sunlight in the daytime, showing every scratch and making the gauges hard to read. Nice job, Honda, NOT!
