i removed the paint and i removed the finish from the emblem and it looks more like brushed aluminum now, i like it way better. the rear emblem is going to remain black. the reason i removed the paint on the front was that it was suffering from chipping, i did it all correctly, but theres too many pebbles on the road and it was starting to look like Shat

 

lol thats what mine looked like before i painted it.

 

i think i'm going to leave it. i can't see justifying the 30 or 50 bucks for a red emblem lol

 

just like you said leave it.
the red just doesn't look to good IMHO.
just pops to much and just attracts to much
attention to ricers and stealers.
