Remember why you bought a Fit?
I must say its kinda nice to see people think the same way I do about the practicality and overall smart buy the fit is. With the economy the way it is 80% of Americans should not be driving what they are (Hummers, V8 Lincolns, SUV's...etc.)
I must agree the most with bkrell. My wife and I make a good living and could easily afford more expensive cars but like I said with the economy and gas prices inevitably going up I couldn't argue with what the fit offers.
I miss power but everytime I drive the fit and see that 40mpg I get a nice sense of achievement...lol.

Well, you know, I've always worked in out of the way places and my wife has always worked pretty close to the middle of the city, so I've always had long commutes since she HAS to be close to work. The last couple of times that I'd bought cars for myself, I let the fun factor get in the way of practicality. But last summer, watching the gas pump spin, it just infuriated me that I was spending money on gas that I could be using on other necessities, or at least on vacation, some other hobby, or whatever. I guess I just felt like I was caught flat-footed and didn't want it to happen again.

Had the chance to drive my bosses Bentley Continental GT the other day and passed. Just being a passenger in the thing was nice but, in the end, it's just another car.
I have to admit, I would have loved to drive it but I don't like driving strange cars to strange places. If he had thrown me the keys and said "go have fun" I would have taken him up and headed out for my favorite canyon (Angeles Crest) and got myself acclimated right quick on the way
Beautiful car. Gobs of power. Total waste of money...I've had my 911. My 328is. My 300ZX. My SVX (yes, it was an over priced Subaru but it is one of my all time favorite cars to drive). Is my Fit in the same category? Nope. But it's still a fun car...it does what I need and I've finally settled down to a point where that is what is important. Neccessity

I agree.... The fit is not a sports car but I don't think it is a minivan either.
Its a nice blend.
If a S2K and a Odyssey had a baby a Fit would pop out...ha.
Ok I'm done...that was a little too much even for me.

I think my pride was hurt more than anything when I first got my fit, especially coming from my beloved Mazdaspeed3. However just after a month of ownership in the fit I already felt financial ease. The fuel efficiency and general low cost of ownership just makes me feel a whole lot better about my purchase and decision.

My thoughts exactly
Im coming off a 2006 rsx-s and the gas mileage is not bad averaging around 30mpg mixed driving. The car is all modded performance wise but the reality is the performance is still not anything to rave about, couple that with high insurance rates and having to use premium fuel just doesnt make sense to me anymore.
Im glad I was able to take the step getting into a fit. I know i've made a wise decision with this car. Cheaper insurance, takes regular fuel, less expensive parts and maintenance, good quality vehicle with a great price tag. Gotta love it!

I love my Fit and I wouldn't care if gas prices dropped to a $1.00 a gallon, my joy with the car would still be the same.
You really don't get this car if you make a statement like that. The joy of owning a Fit has nothing to do with horsepower. The Fit is a lightweight, great handling, reliable, fuel efficient, simple car, the way Honda used to make them. If you get an enjoyment from driving car based on its horsepower rating you should not have bought a Fit, regardless of the price of gas.

wow imagine if gas was a buck again. I could seriously fill my car up with the change in my couch!
