T1R Short Shifter (lots of pics: stock vs T1R side by side)

sorry didn't have a ruler handy decided to use the pop-can. Pic on the left is stock, pic on the right is short shifter

Stock 1st and 2nd gear

T1R Short Shifter 1st and 2nd gear

As you can tell from the pics the shifter lever is not much shorter but the actual throws are. Also the shifter feels a lot stiffer going through the gears. I like it cuz it feels a bit more sporty. Definitely one of the best mods that I have done so far to the car. Highly recommend this mod to those of you who are considering. It's better bang for the buck compared to the Mugen one. Yes that one does come with the assembly but at the end of the day it looks the same and will function the same. Why pay so much extra?

I also have pictures of the shifter in Neutral as well as the other gears (3/4/5). If anybody wants to see those I can post or e-mail them to you.

Hmm, he posted in the right section in my opinion. (generation specific)
Thread content is TR1 shifter on a GE, the pics just add to the thread.

And a Great thread! Shifters are a hot topic these days. Thanks for posting!

back on topic, pics are helpful in my decision making.
For me now (being 6'2") I liked the Skunk 2 shift kit I had on my GD3, as while making the throws shorter, it raises the shifter about 5/8 of an inch (the H-Fit kit would raise it about the same)

how hard was the installation without the whole kit like the mugen? i plan on ordering this with the t1r exhaust, shift knob, and boot from a&j as soon as the axle-back is out.
