Door Edge Film?

Who has it? How difficult is the install? Is it worth it?

I'll be picking up my '09 Sport MT (Red!) next week, and I'm putting together a list of accessories that I want to order. I'm not sure about this door edge film, so I thought I would get some advice from all you experts.

Thanks in advance!

I did the install myself on my TW fit. The install is pretty simple as long as you take your time. It took me about an hr to do all 4 doors. My only complaint is that its has turned a little yellow and on my white fit it stands out quite a bit. I don't think you will have any problems on your red fit though. As for being worth it, for the $30 I spent on it I think so especially if you park your car in a tight garage.

I bought it before I bought the car along with the body side moldings after reading about numerous people getting their doors dinged in parking lots... It seems like out little Fits are magnets.

I haven't had a chance to install them yet, it just started getting warmer here. So, as soon as I can get a few days with over 60 degrees F, I will give my car a nice wash again and install them. I've gone over the instructions numerous times, and I think it should be easy to install. I'll let you know after the install.

I figure any additional for of protection for our cars will help.

However it is overpriced, and you could probably just buy a bulk 3M strip of clear bra and use that instead. With how easy this paint scratches up I'm thinking I should have done the whole car with that stuff.

one of the key areas that you want to protect around the door is your sidesills. a lot of times my wife kicks it and scratches it with her heels.

only one time she managed to open the door waaaaay wide into
the shopping car rack thingie in the parking lot. but
that was on the old Legacy so who cares.
