Cargo Mats?

I'm looking for an after market cargo mat for my 2009 Fit. I stick a bike in the back a lot and want something to protect the car. I've seen the Elemmat but just noticed that there are some other after market options out there. Has anyone tried anything other than the Elemmat? Elemmat looks ok - but also looks a little pricey for something I could cut out myself. Anyone tried Hexomat?

I'd like something that can cover the back and the seats when folded down, and something that looks clean (fits well).

Thanks!

Read this whole thread ---> https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...eats-down.html
It will answer most of your questions.

You could go generic and cut & fit it yourself, or you could buy a Weathertech (when and if they make it), or the Elemmat which is available. It's your car, buy whatever makes you happier.

I winded up buying the JDM Honda one... pic below

It covers the rear seat backs, stays in tact when you fold the seats down, and the fit is perfect. Here's another thread with more info on the JDM Honda one ---> https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/2nd-...ighlight=cargo

Thanks for the reply. That looks like a good solution for what I need. Do you know where I can find these mats? I scrolled through that thread and the ebay link is no longer valid. I wasn't able to find anything that looked similar on ebay. Looks like I can get them through Japanparts.com for $115 + $50 shipping. Seems a little expensive. Is that just what they go for?

Thanks!

OEM Cargo Tray

Tacostand, have you tried College Hills Honda. The OEM cargo tray is on sale for only $75.60 + shipping. Check it out by clicking on the link.

Honda Fit Accessories - Genuine 2009 Honda Fit Interior Accessories

This is what I bought and am pretty happy with it.

Thanks for the link. I like the look of the OEM Cargo Tray a lot. But I'd really like something that can cover the back of the rear seats when they're folded down and I need to load a muddy mt bike in the back. I may try a DIY solution and see how that works before springing for the JDM mat. Thanks for the help.

That cargo tray looks like it has a lip that would get in the way when you wanted to load something with the seats folded down, though. Am I interpreting the pic wrong?

So far the JDM mat looks nice, but expensive and somewhat inconvenient to order, while the Elemmat is a little cheaper (but still pretty expensive) and easier to get...I wonder if you could cut the Elemmat and attach it to the backs in a similar way to the JDM (cord around the headrests and velcro to the seat)?

Does Velcro stick to the upholstery?

You can email the seller ---> eBay Seller: plijokkjiu46521kkjh: Parts Accessories items on eBay Motors Just ask him for the Cargo Mat the part # is 08P11-TF0-000 he used to have it for about $135 or so with shipping included, but you have to take in to account yen exchange rates.

When I bought mine (last December)it wasn't listed either, I just sent the seller a pm. It was about $110 for the actual item w/o shipping. As for shipping not quite sure; my shipping was different because I bought quite a few more parts.... It definitely made the shipping worth it to me since I bought a lot of parts at once.

If you have other JDM items you want I'd recommend ordering them all together to save on shipping.

The velcro sticks to the carpet area on the back of the rear seats, and also to the carpet on the cargo floor. It's a 3 piece design, so you can fold flat either right or left rear seats, and it's a smooth transition.

I dorked out this afternoon, bought some vinyl/carpet floor mats at Home Depot and made a DIY cargo mat. It's not perfect. I need to keep trimming the material to size. It bunches up a little with the seats up. But I spent $44 in materials, and it took me a little over an hour to cut everything out and secure the mats with adhesive velcro.

Sorry - I'm not sure how to post a pic. But there are a few photos here:

tacostand, I like the cargo liner you made. I'd like to do the same, so I appreciate the photos you posted.

I wanted to ask whether the mat you purchased at Home Depot was called "Enviroback," and was its size 3 feet by 5 feet? It certainly looks like what you've got in your photos, but since it's available for about $18--which is well under your total cost of $44--I'm wondering whether you purchased something else. It's hard to imagine the o the adhesive velcro (anything besides that?) added up to $26, but maybe it did.

If I don't hear from you soon I'll pm you, but I wanted everyone who comes across the thread to have the info. I expect to put up a DIY, too. Certainly beats ordering the japanese cargo liner for $150+

Edit: so much for paying attention to the photos, which clearly show two separate mats being used. $17 x 2 = $34, plus the $10 2 in. x 4 ft. adhesive-backed velcro I just bought comes out to $44. Photos forthcoming.
