Installing Gentex Mirror; have questions

I should be receiving a mirror from Gentex today that includes the homelink, compass and outside temperature. I have a few questions about the power source and running the temp probe to the front bumper.

1) Running cables up to the mirror
a) If I use the driver A pillar will this affect the airbag?
b) Is this the best location to run the cables from the dash to the mirror?

2) Firewall pass through
a) best location

3) I suppose a switched and unswitched power source is needed.
a) What is the best way to wire for the switched source?
b) Can the dome lights handle the draw for the unswitched?

I know this may be old hat for a few of you, but other than hardwiring my V1 into my car and installing an ipod input for my wifes previous Pilot, I haven't really touched a car electrically in decades.

Thanks.

There's a writeup for this already.

That is great! Many thanks. Any ideas of passing the probe through the firewall?

Installed the mirror. It took less than 1 hour thanks to the DIY. I'm not sold on the airbag clearance though. I may route the cable differently when I install the probe.
