With the price of oil going up again, it will not be this low for long.

You know that kinda surprised me last year, when the price of a barrel went up to $150, the price of motor oil didnt rise. So in all honesty im not expecting motor oil to rise in price.

There is also a $10 rebate floating around. Don't know if it will work. It doesn't hurt to try.

Oye there mus be some fairly new drivers here. Motor oil has practically doubled in price in the last 5 years. Last summer the price DID go up. More importantly, though, there was a shortage in the additive sector as well as in PAO synth. The reduction in demand of finished product, not the current price per barrel, is what motor oil is keying on right now. Oil futures can go up for a while-when no one is buying the finished, refined product, it doesn't make much difference.

The price of high gas price last year also means people are driving less and fewer oil changes. That might accounted for the recent build up of finished product. I'm sure the price will go up once inventory has bee reduced.

I've been using synthetic for the past 5 years. I can usually get a Qt for $2-3 with rebate at the beginning . Unfortunately, I used my stock pile when it hit al time high. Time to build up again.
