This is a lot cheaper than coilovers...

Had a few bags of mulch in the folded-down back seat area, too. Fortunately Home Depot is only about 1.5 miles from home via residential streets. Easy to take it nice and slow. No rubbing or anything out of the ordinary.

maaaybe borrow a small truck for something like that. if you ever hit a little water, that would be instant loss of steering

I don't know about either of those claims. My wife and I did 3 cross country trips (3000 miles each) with her 08, rear seats folded down and cargo area loaded all the way. It stayed loaded down overnight for 4-5 nights each way and her suspension is just fine right now. Also, we went through water with no noticeable degradation in steering. In fact the car surprised me when we we hit snow in AZ and ice in Arkansas. The only thing that made me nervous the whole trip was crosswinds over 15 mph when I was doing over 70-80 mph.
